Bio/Description
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Stellarator Theory group at the Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany. I graduated from the bachelor in Physics at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico). After that I studied the European Master of Science in Nuclear Fusion and Engineering Physics, for my graduation project I conducted calculations of bootstrap current for an axi-symmetric stellarator.
My current work is mostly focused on stellarator optimization. By using a direct construction of MHD equilibria based in a near-axis expansion we aim to systematically scan the space of omnigenous solutions in order to identify those that can be realized using simple coils.
