I work on theory, numerical simulations, and observations on turbulence and dynamos, and the manifestations of dynamo action in astrophysical objects, especially in the Sun. Within MPPC, I participate in collaborations on the solar near-surface shear layer (MPS-Princeton collaboration), theory of rotating turbulent convection in driving solar differential rotation and dynamos (MPS-NINS-Princeton collaboration), and on the possibility of large-scale dynamo action in systems without net helicity (Princeton-MPS collaboration).
